Tanka "Snow Falling" published in The Rappahannock Review (US)

 

The web magazine The Rappahannock Review, published by the Department of English and Linguistics at the University of Mary Washington in the United States, has featured my tanka "Snow Falling", a reading, and an interview.

This is the first time my translated tanka have been published in the English-speaking world.

The University of Mary Washington, founded in 1908, is located in Virginia.

I learned that the title of the magazine, Rappahannock, comes from the name of a river that flows through the state.

Their website, decorated with charming illustrations of fish swimming in the river, is wonderfully inviting.

In the interview for The Rappahannock Review, I was asked deeply thoughtful questions that gave me a valuable opportunity to reflect once again on my creative work.
